Players can now align themselves with a particular territory in Aden. Although it is necessary to pay a registration fee, you also are paid for your contribution to the town.

Higher compensation will be given to those who protect the village by killing evil monsters than to those who seek a safer and secluded way of life.

The level of contribution is not only based on the number of monsters killed; location and risk also are important factors. Adventurers who endure the peril of going into a dangerous dungeon to fight monsters, rather than comparatively safe open fields, will enjoy greater rewards.

In fact, the selection of each town's mayor is based on this level of contribution. So, if you want to become mayor, it you'll need to put forth some additional effort.

The mayor is responsible for deciding the tax rates which are divided among the citizens and have an effect on the amount of support funds that are distributed by Aden Castle. The mayor, of course, receives a level of compensation that is greater than that given to other citizens.

The term of a mayor is one game month (approximately one real-time week), after which a new mayor may be selected, depending upon the contributions of the area's citizenry.
